SUMMARY:Program 3     Geelong  Introduction to Robotics
DESCRIPTION:1 Day\, two sessions:       Morning session:   9:30 am - 12:30 pm      Geelong Library & Heritage Centre\n  Afternoon session:  1:30 pm - 4:30 pm      Geelong Library & Heritage Centre\n We discuss what is a robot\, and look at some simple early robots including the Logo Turtle and  Bee-Bot.\nWe look at some simple robot programming. We advance to the cute NAO robot and demonstrate programming using Choreography.\nWe spend the session building Binary-bot\, a cardboard robot that the attendees will take home. We spend the day working with the e-z robot kit\, and discuss some ethical issues with robots\, such as banning killer robots\, the Future of Work and whether Skynet is a possibility.\nThis course is appropriate for level 6 students and up.\nTablets or laptop helpful for the first session.
