
PROGRAM 1
Running September 25th, 26th and 28th 2017
Introduction to Robotics | $249. | Price includes a binary bot valued at $99.
3 Days, 3 Hour Sessions Each Day
Day 1: We discuss what is a robot, and look at some simple early robots including the Logo Turtle and Bee-Bot.
We look at some simple robot programming. We advance to the cute NAO robot and demonstrate programming using Choreography.
Day 2: We spend the session building Binary-bot, a cardboard robot that the attendees will take home. Day 3: We spend the day working with the e-z robot kit, and discuss some ethical issues with robots, such as banning killer robots, the Future of Work and whether Skynet is a possibility.
There will be some surprise activities as well. This course is appropriate for level 6 students and up.
Tablets or laptop helpful for the first session.

Running October 2rd,3th and 4th 2017
Be a Cyber Sleuth | $149.
3 Days, 3 Hour Sessions Each Day
The program will introduce you to information you “reveal” about yourself when you send an email, take an image, tweet or post on Facebook. You will discover how to look for metadata and what ways there are to be more secure when posting in social media application such as Twitter and Facebook.
We will show how much information about people is available online, Often, without their knowledge, we’ll give you some guidance on avoiding disclosure of unauthorized information. There will also be an opportunity to discuss ethical issues associated with privacy.
This course is appropriate for level 6 students and up. (Parents & Guardians welcome)
